Budgerigars, which have been given the cute name of 'budgies,' are a species of birds that are quite small- the size of your hand,- unfortunatley causing them to be naturally jumpy and frightened. They have many different colors but they all have one thing in common: they are awfully cute. They are fluffy and chirp happily and are even funny when they are scared out of their minds.
Before being captured/tamed to be household pets, budgies only had one color type: yellow and green. Now, 'yellow and green' is a vague term; the budgies' color varied from light green to dark green, bright yellow to tainted yellow, and some even mashed together with yellow heads and green bodies. In the present, budgies' colors could be dark blue, completely white, light blue, and- in very rare cases- pink! With technology like today's, the possibilities are endless; from selective breeding to special chemically-altered food, you can even get a half-colored budgie!
Everyone has their ups and downs, including animals. Though cats are more clean than dogs, they tend to... not respect others' possetions and destroy stuff, while dogs are playful and obedient, but not the most hygienic. Budgies are no different.
